St. Dominic Savio Vocation Club

All Children grades 3-12 are invited to join our new vocation club. We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month from 3:00pm to 4:30pm, learning to hear God’s individual call to vocation. Activities include: Prayer, Adoration, Religious Trips, Speakers, Games, Education on Saints and vocations, Socialization with Peers, and more!

St. Dominic Savio was known for his exceptional piety, devotion to God, youthful spirit, and sincere love for those around him.

Despite his short life, he profoundly impacted others, including his family, peers, and spiritual mentor, St. John Bosco.

St. Dominic Savio is recognized for inspiring many to follow in his footsteps! His life is a shining example of what it means to live a life of faith, virtue, and compassion.

My name is JovAnna Martinez, my husband Rey Martinez and I are trying to start a vocation club for kids 3rd-12th grade at St. Jude with Father Tri.

St. Dominic Savio Vocation Club will meet every 3rd Saturday of the month from 3-4:30. Light refreshments provided!

You may ask.. Why is this Vocation Kids Club needed? Well, I believe (only because we were there a few years ago) that today’s families are very distracted, separated or just don’t understand the importance of how to teach our children the vocations of the church.

(We are all puzzle pieces to Gods Plan and in order to prepare our children for their future in the church vocation education is vitally needed now more than ever!)

The need to know and understand that “vocation” doesn’t typically mean just the priesthood but also entails marriage/family life, single life and religious life. We want to help plant these “vocation seeds” in children & families by learning to listen to what God has planned for each of us, our “Calling” , through growth in family/individual prayer, understanding/imitating the fervor of the saints and being a living disciple for Jesus.

Through the union of all vocations that imitate the Holy Trinity, we can make great communities, and great communities can change the direction the world is headed in.
