Adoration

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

The Chapel will be open for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and individual prayer Monday through Friday from 9am to 9pm.

"Withdraw yourself from people and spend at least a quarter of an hour, or a half-hour, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Taste and see how sweet is the Lord, and you will learn from your own experience how many graces this will bring you."

St. Alphonsus Ligouri

Experience the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is the devotion to and worship of Jesus Christ, fully present in the Holy Eucharist.
The Holy Eucharist is displayed in a Monstrance which is a special vessel. The faithful visit the Blessed Sacrament to pray and worship, knowing our Lord Jesus Christ is present in the consecrated Holy Eucharist. Our Catholic Faith confirms this presence and requires respect and reverence by all who come to chapel.

Proper Procedure to Show Respect and Reverence Before the Blessed Sacrament:

+ Upon entering the chapel, we acknowledge God’s presence by blessing ourselves with holy water and making the Sign of the Cross. During this blessing, you may genuflect on one knee or two. If for some reason you cannot genuflect you may bow.

+ Vocal prayer is only allowed during the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 PM and the praying of the Rosary at 5:30pm. Please refrain from socializing or whispering in chapel as to not disturb those in prayer. Spontaneous unscheduled events, or sermonizing are not allowed.

+Electronic devices must be silenced and only used to aid in prayer or scripture. Food, gum, candy, or drinks are not allowed in chapel, with the exception of water.

+Upon leaving, genuflect or bow, and conclude worship with the Sign of the Cross and holy water
